Josh Bell Leads Guardians Past Nationals in Return to Nats Park
Josh Bell came back to Nats Park hitting only .109 with no home runs this season, his first in a Cleveland Guardians uniform, but in the old familiar confines he broke out of that slump with a double and a home run, leading the Guardians to a 4-3 victory over the Washington Nationals.
The Nationals struck first, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning off of Cleveland starter Cal Quantrill. Luis Garcia got things going with a home run, his first of the year. Later in the inning Alex Call delivered a clutch two-out single, driving in two to give the Nats a 3-0 lead.
