George Mason Men’s Basketball Kicks off Against Auburn
The George Mason men’s basketball team kicks off the 2022-2023 season as they travel to preseason #15 Auburn on Monday, November 7th. The Patriots make their home debut later that week as they take on Longwood on Friday, November 11th at EagleBank Arena.
Leading the way for the Patriots are returning starters Josh Oduro (17.7 PPG, 7.5 RPG), DeVon Cooper (11.6 PPG, 2.1. RPG) and Davonte Gaines (10.2 PPG, 8.1 RPG).
Also returning from last year’s squad are Ronald Polite III (4.9 PPG), Malik Henry (2 PPG), Blake Jones (1.1 PPG) and Chase Tucker.
Transferring in this year are Saquan Singleton, Victor Bailey and Ginika Ojiako.
Incoming Freshman are guard Devin Dinkins from Gonzaga College High School, Justyn Fernandez, a 6-5 guard out of IMG Academy, 6-7 forward Elvis Nnaji from Hopkins, Minnesota and 6-7 forward Peter Oduro out of VA Academy.
