Capitals Score Three 2nd Period Goals to Down Canadiens
The Washington Capitals scored three 2nd period goals on the way to a 3-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.
Conor Sheary led off the scoring at 9:02 of the 2nd period to tie the game at 1. Two and a half minutes later, Anthony Mantha put one in the back of the net to make it 2-1. Finally, T.J. Oshie tallied the third and final Caps goal at 15:20 of the period.
