Mason Women Open A-10 Play With a 62-32 Loss to Fordham
The George Mason women’s basketball team travelled up to the Bronx on New Year’s Day to open their A-10 conference schedule against Fordham and came away with a 62-32 thumping at the hands of the Rams inside Rose Hill gym.
The 32 total points marked the lowest number of points scored by the Patriots in a game in almost 45 years.
Marika Korpinen was the lone Patriot in double-figures, scoring 10 points in the loss.
Poor shooting doomed the Patriots as they managed to shoot only 21% from the field for the game.
The loss drops the Patriots to 3-5 on the season overall and 0-1 in A-10 conference play.
Mason travels to Davidson on Sunday for a 1PM matchup.
