4 Players in Double Figures But Still Mystics Fall to Sun 76-63
Four starters hit double figures on Sunday afternoon but it still wasn’t enough as the Washington Mystics fell to the Connecticut Sun 76-63 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Emma Meesseman and Ariel Atkins led the way for the Mystics with 14 points each while Kiara Leslie had 11. Myisha Hines-Allen put in 12 points along with pulling down 13 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists.
For the Sun, DeWanna Bonner led the way with 20 points and 11 rebounds while Alyssa Thomas went for 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Rookie Kaila Charles also had a big game scoring a season-high 16 points.
The Mystics proved to be their own worst enemy as they shot just 32.2% from the field and committed 16 turnovers.
The loss drops the Mystics to 4-11 on the season.
