Gonzaga Downs Wilson to Take DCSAA Title

After a loss at the buzzer at the hands of Sidwell Friends in last year’s DCSAA championship game, the Wilson Tigers were looking to exact a measure of revenge in this year’s final – this time against Gonzaga.

However for the second year in a row it wasn’t to be.

In a back and forth game, Gonzaga managed to take control in the 4th quarter and eventually hanging on to beat Wilson 55-49 and winning their second D.C. State Athletic Association Class AA title.

Terrance Williams led the way for the Eagles with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
