St. John’s Girls Defeats McNamara 68-64 in OT in WCAC Classic

In what was destined to the THE girls basketball game of the year, the St. John’s girls came to Bishop McNamara Sunday afternoon as the underdogs looking to extract a little measure of revenge for the loss against their WCAC rival earlier in the season. After going back and forth all afternoon and falling behind in the 4th quarter, the Cadets rallied, took the lead, then handed it back and eventually defeated the Mustangs 68-64 in overtime.
Azzi Fudd led the way for the Cadets with 20 points while pulling down 4 rebounds and dishing out 7 assists. Caramina Tanedo put in 16 points followed by Taylor Napper with 13 points and 8 boards, Delaney Thomas with 10 points and 6 boards and Kelis Corley with 7 points and 4 rebounds.
