WCAC Wrapup: PVI Girls Down McNamara; DeMatha Beats Good Counsel

Another Tuesday night in the WCAC and some things happened that were expected and some things happened that were definitely not expected.
Under the category of things that were expected, DeMatha continued their winning ways by going on the road and defeating Good Counsel 77-48.
In the category of things that weren’t expected was the result of a matchup between two of the two best girls high school teams in the country – PVI and Bishop McNamara. McNamara never found their groove all night and fell to PVI 54-29.

Led by Azzie Fudd’s 30 points, the St. John’s girls downed Bishop Ireton 60-52
The St. John’s boys hosted Bishop Ireton and defeated the visiting Cardinals 57-39. The victory lifts the Cadets to 20-6 overall and 11-5 in the conference.
Led by Favoir Aire’s 27 points and 19 rebounds, the Bishop McNamara boys had a huge win, defeating Paul VI 62-48.
