Beal Pours in 38, But Wizards Fall to Heat 134-129 in OT

Bradley Beal once again showed why he’s one of the pre-eminent players in the NBA on Wednesday, as he score 38 points while pulling down nine rebounds and dishing out five assists, but it wasn’t enough as the Wizards fell to the Miami Heat 134-129 in OT.

After the first half, the game looked to be heading towards a blowout win for the Heat, but the Wizards came roaring back and took a 76-75 lead with about 5 minutes left in the third quarter thanks to a thundering slam by Beal.

Ultimately the depth of the Heat, one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, proved to be too much for the Wizards.

Davis Bertans contributed 24 points for the Wizards in the losing effort.

The Wizards travel to Cleveland for the second of two back-to-back road games on Thursday night.
