Delle Donne’s 22 points, 8 Boards Lead Mystics to 91-78 Over Fever
Led by Elena Delle Donne’s 22 points and eight rebounds the Washington Mystics beat the visiting Indiana Fever 91-78 on Thursday night in front of just over 3,000 fans at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
Kristi Toliver had a career-high 11 assists for the Mystics in the victory.
In addition to Delle Donne, four other Mystics scored in double figures – Emma Meesseman put in 18, LaToya Sanders had 16, Aerial Powers contributed 14 and Natsha Cloud added 13.
The victory was the seventh of the last eight games for the Mystics and have the second best record in the league, a half-game behind Connecticut.
Kelsey Mitchell led the way for the Fever with 18 points while Candice Dupree put in 16. They were the only two Fever players in double-figures. The loss drops the Fever to 8-16 on the season.
