Delle Donne Comes Up Big in Mystics OT Win Over Fever
Elena Delle Donne came up with big shot after big shot and pulled down rebound after rebound as she led the visiting Washington Mystics to a 95-88 OT win over the Indiana Fever on Friday evening.
The victory was the 10th win of the season for the Mystics and snapped their three-game losing streak.
Delle Donne, who had missed the Mystics last three games due to the injury she sustained to her nose in a game against Los Angeles, scored 28 points and pulled down 15 rebounds.
The game was a back-and-forth affair throughout and the Mystics found themselves down by two with six seconds remaining. Delle Donne then hit a clutch jumper to tie it at 81 and the game went to overtime.
In the overtime period it was all Mystics as they went 7 for 10 from the floor and outscored the Dream 14-7 to lift them to victory,.
