NYCFC Drops First Game in Over 3 Months, Falls to Portland 1-0

The Portland Timbers came into the Bronx and ended NYCFC’s 12-match unbeaten streak as they made an early goal stand up and came away with a 1-0 victory in front of 18,000 fans at Yankee Stadium.
The loss drops NYCFC to 7-2-8, 29 points on the season, good enough for 5th place in the Eastern Conference. It was NYCFC’s first loss since they were clobbered by Toronto in late March.
Sebastian Blanco put it into the net in the 14th minute after NYCFC failed to clear the ball.
