Spirit’s Chloe Logarzo Named Player of the Match in the Matilda’s Victory Over Brazil

Washington Spirit Midfielder Chloe Logarzo was named Player of the Match for Australia’s thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Brazil on Thursday at Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier, France.

Logarzo had a hand in two of the Matilda’s three goals. In first-half stoppage time she assisted Catalin Foord’s goal, which was Australia’s first goal of the game, and then at the 58 minute mark scored the first World Cup goal of her career to even the score at 2.

Logarzo and the Matildas next match comes against the Jamaica squad with features Spirit player Cheyna Matthews on Tuesday.
