Dupree, Mitchell lead Fever Over Wings 76-72
Candice Dupree scored a game high 20 points and Kelsey Mitchell put in 18 to lead the visiting Indiana Fever over the winless Dallas Wings 76-72 on Thursday night in front of over 3,500 fans at College Park Center.
The 0-5 Wings have been without all-star guard Skylar Diggins all season after giving birth to a baby in April. Also rookie Arike Ogunbowale was inactive for the game due to a sprained ankle. Kayla Thornton led the Wings with 19 points.
14-year veteran Dupree was the guiding force for the Fever as half of her 20 points came in the fourth quarter as the team was desperately trying to hold off a charging Dallas team.
