LAFC Dominates Real Salt Lake in U.S. Open Matchup

LAFC scored early and never looked back as they moved easily past host Real Salt Lake 3-0 on Tuesday in fourth-round play in the U.S. Open Cup in front of 15,000 fans at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Carlos Vega scored in the match’s 8th minute and MLS’s top team was never seriously challenged and they dominated in all the major categories. LAFC had possession of the ball 61% of the time and they outshot RSL 9-4.

Lee Nguyen struck for LAFC in the 64th minute and Adama Diomande scored in injury time to seal the deal for the visitors.
