The New Orleans Pelicans have hired WNBA legend Swin Cash as Vice President of Basketball Operations/Team Development it was announced Monday by the NBA team.
During her 15-year career, Cash was a three-time champion, four-time All-Star and two-time All-Star Game MVP. Cash appeared in 479 regular season games for five different franchises and is just one of two players in WNBA history to reach 5,000 points, 2,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in her career. After her retirement in 2016, she was named as one of the WNBA’s Top-20 Best and Most Influential Players.
Prior to being selected number two in the 2002 WNBA Draft, Cash helped the UConn Huskies to the national championship in 2000 and 2002.
