Led by Riquna Williams’ 25 points, the visiting Los Angeles Sparks edged past the Minnesota Lynx 89-85 on Saturday afternoon in front of 8,800 fans at the Target Center.
Chelsea Gray’s clutch bucket with 8.5 seconds remaining helped to seal the victory for the Sparks, which lifted them to 3-2 on the season. Gray finished with 21 points while Tierra Ruffin-Pratt had 17 and Chiney Ogwumike contributed 14. The Ogwumike sisters pulled down a combined 18 rebounds, which Chiney and Nneka each pulling down 9.

Lexie Brown came off the bench to lead the scoring for the Lynx with 21 points. Right behind her was Sylvia Fowles, whose 20 points allowed her to surpass 5,000 points in her career and forward Napheesa Collier who put in 18.
Fowles also had 13 rebounds and is the fifth WNBA player with 5,000 points and 3,000 rebounds.
