Sun Down Aces 80-74
The visiting Connecticut Sun topped the Las Vegas Aces 80-74 on Sunday in front of over 2,700 fans at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Courtney Williams led the Sun with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists while center Jonquel Jones contributed in 16 points and 13 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for the Sun were Shekinna Stricklen with 15 and Alyssa Thomas with 14.
The victory moves Connecticut to 3-1 on the season, good enough for sole possession of 2nd place.
A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 19 points and nine rebounds while Kayla Cambridge came off the bench to put in 14 points.
