Sun Downs Fever 88-77, Moves to 2-0

Behind Jonquel Jones’ 25 points, the Connecticut Sun moved to 2-0 on the season as they beat the visiting Indiana Fever 88-77 in front of 4,700 fans at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday Night.

Jasmine Thomas added 16 points while Courtney Williams chipped in 13 for the winning team. Additionally, Alyssa Thomas came down with 10 rebounds for the winning Sun. The victory brings Connecticut’s home winning streak to nine games, dating back to last season.

For Indiana, Erica Wheeler had 26 points and nine assists while Candice Dupree had 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists. The loss drops the Fever to 1-1 on the season.
