Preview of this week’s MLS games:
Wednesday May 15th
DC United at Toronto FC – DC United travels to take on Toronto FC at BMO Field on Wednesday evening. United are coming off a 1-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday and are sitting at 7-3-2 in the standings and with 23 points, tied with the Philadelphia Union for 1st place in the Eastern Conference.
Toronto FC is coming off a home loss to the Philadelphia Union, their second consecutive defeat. Their 5-4-1 record puts them just above the playoff line – 6th place in the Eastern conference with 16 points.

Portland Timbers at Houston Dynamo – The Portland Timbers travel to take on the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on Wednesday evening. It will be a tough go for Portland as Houston is undefeated at home this season.
Houston is coming off a road loss against Seattle and stands at 6-2-1 on the season with 19 points – good enough for 4th place in the Western Conference.
Portland had their three-match winning streak snapped last week against Vancouver and stand at 3-6-1 on the season.

Atlanta United at Vancouver Whitecaps FC – The Atlanta United take their four-win match streak when travel up to Vancouver to take on the Whitecaps FC at BC Place on Wednesday night. The Whitecaps are at 3-5-3 with 12 points – 1 point out of the playoff line in the Western Conference. Atlanta is coming off a 1-0 win over Orlando City FC on Sunday which brought them to 5-3-2 on the season with 17 points and good enough for 5th place in the Eastern Conference.

Orlando City vs. Seattle Sounders – Orlando City travels across the country take on the Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday night at CenturyLink Field. The Sounders are coming off a 1-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday bringing their record to 6-1-4 and 22 points, good enough to be tied for 2nd place in the Western Conference, tied with the LA Galaxy.
Orlando City FC are coming off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Atlanta on Sunday – making them winless in their last three matches. Their 3-5-3 record gives them 12 points which is 10th place in the Eastern Conference.

LAFC vs. FC Dallas – FC Dallas travels to Los Angeles to take on LAFC at Banc of California stadium. It’s the first of two back-to-back meetings for the clubs as they head to Dallas for round two on Sunday.
